~ BONNIE'S BARBARA ~

She didn't know her sister
For as long as she wished she had
But the woman she found had a smile on her face
With reason to be angry and sad

She was born in August 1945
She passed away in '88
And for the sweetest gal you could want to know
Happiness almost came too late

It happened to be thru a phone call
That one sister found the other
They didn't have long, yet they had a lifetime
Twas love that they gave one another

She learned her sister had cancer
A very sad fate indeed
But the younger was there for the elders' last year
On love did these sisters feed

Every weekend was spent with each other
By these sisters who loved so deep
Together they laughed, together they talked
Together these sisters would weep

She passed away in her brother-in-laws arms
With a picture of her sister in hand
Two sisters kept separated for too many years
Their love was not to be banned

The love she had for her sister
Carries on even through today
She's there in her words; she's there in her thoughts
She's there in all but the physical way

She didn't know her sister
For as long as she wished she had
But the sister she loved kept a smile on her face
And she chose to be happy, not sad
